Course Description: This one-day class is designed for experienced report developers that want to be able to hit the ground running after upgrading from Web Intelligence 4.3 to BI 2025 release. To maximize our time on new features, this course bypasses the fundamentals and moves straight into new and advanced features. We recommend this course for those already comfortable with Web Intelligence previous reporting environment.

Designed to facilitate a seamless transition, this training highlights key differences between the 2 versions, as well as empowering users with the advanced new features available in BI 2025. We start by developing modern reports with the new UI5 components which allows for exporting our dashboard reports offline and then take a deep dive into mastering data preparation, learning advanced joins and cleaning text for better, easier joins. Course Topics:

Module 1: Welcome to Web Intelligence 2025

In this first quick session, we will be exploring the UI changes and pointing out some of the new additions and differences. We will build a simple query and discuss changes along the way.

Module 2 – Introducing UI5 Elements

This session will introduce the new UI5 charts and filters that have been added to BI2025 and show how to use them to develop a dashboard report. We will combine the new elements to make a visually appealing dashboard report which can then be exported to use interactively offline in a WIDX. Additionally we will show how to use the new custom tooltips on charts & tables as well as adding KPI tiles to Launchpad

Module 3- Data Mode Enhancements

This session provides a deep dive into advanced data manipulation techniques using Data Mode, with new Join options. We will cover how to use formulas & variables for cleaning, reshaping, and enhancing the data for better joins and results. Data Mode offers a more flexible and often faster approach for consolidating disparate datasets. This session will also cover new user enhancements which make using BI2025 easier than ever.
